Margaret M. Doran holds teaching certificates in English, Mathematics, and Elementary Education, as well as, administrative certificates for supervision, principal and superintendent. Her diversified background in Secondary and Elementary Education, in addition to serving in Supervisory capacities in Curriculum and Instruction since 1994, serves her well in her position as District Supervisor of Special Projects for GEHRHSD.
In this role, she writes and oversees all grant-funded programs and initiatives that directly or indirectly support the district’s major goal – to enhance student learning, with emphasis on closing the achievement gap, and ensuring learning for all students through high standards, integrated technology, data analysis and district-wide coherent curriculum. She is also District Coordinator for standardized assessment testing and is responsible for state reports for No Child Left Behind, English Language Learners, homeless, and out-of-district non-special education students.
Mrs. Doran has a bachelor’s degree in English and Secondary Education from LaSalle University in Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in Mathematics Teaching from Rowan University in New Jersey. She is an adjunct professor at Richard Stockton College and is a member of the New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and Phi Delta Kappa.
She is quite proud of her family. Her husband has been employed in a local special services school district for over 30 years. Her daughter recently received her doctorate of physical therapy from Widener University; her son graduated from Drexel University in biomedical engineering and is currently pursuing a career in medicine. She resides with her family in the shore area where she tries to find time to enjoy the four B’s: the beach, bay, boat and boardwalk! |
