Greater Egg Harbor Regional High School District, after receiving over 2,300 suggestions to name its new high school, school mascot, and school colors, announced the winning entries at its Board of Education Meeting on Monday evening, January 12, 2009. Groundbreaking for the new school located in Egg Harbor City was held on October 4, 2008 and construction is well underway, with a scheduled opening date of September 2010.
